Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) at UniSA  

BACKGROUND

Civil Engineering at XAUAT dates back to the 1950s, and is a National Distinctive Specialty, a provincially famous specialty and a National Five-star Specialty. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) at the University of South Australia is professionally accredited by Engineers Australia (EA), with graduates eligible for membership with EA and comparable international institutions.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This degree equips students with the knowledge and skills to work in the design, construction and maintenance of critical infrastructure, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and methods in Civil Engineering. With a practical focus, students will develop strong project management and communication skills and graduate with a strong understanding of engineering in an international context. Graduates will be able to pursue careers in research, design, construction, management and development in the areas of house building, road and bridge design, and geotechnical and foundation engineering.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

4 Years  Bachelor of Management (XAUAT)

Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics (Honours) at UniSA

BACKGROUND

XAUAT is one of the first two universities in China to offer an undergraduate program in Construction Economics Organization and Planning (the predecessor of Project Management), which is now a National Distinctive Specialty.  The University of South Australia is the only university in South Australia that combines construction management with economics. The Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics (Honours) degree meets the educational requirements for corporate membership to the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and other comparable institutions.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This degree will equip students with the skills and knowledge to manage building and other civil engineering projects. Students will learn about the basics of management, economics and law related to project management, and gain a comprehensive knowledge of the theories, means and methods of project management. With strong practical focus, students will graduate with an international outlook and practical capabilities. Graduates will be able to pursue careers that involve the investment, scheduling, quality control, contract management, information management, organization and coordination of new, reconstruction, expansion, or renovation projects.

 

BUILDING ELECTRICAL AND INTELLIGENCE

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Electronic) at UniSA

BACKGROUND

Building Electrical and Intelligence combines the areas of Civil Engineering, Information Engineering and Architecture. As a forerunner in the field, our degree is ranked number one in China and it is also a National Five-star Specialty. UniSA is currently ranked in the World Top 200 for Engineering and Technology in the 2018 THE Subject Rankings, and in the World Top 150 for Architecture and Built Environment in the 2018 QS Subject Rankings. UniSA will provide support in the areas of Information Technology and Architecture for An De College.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This degree will equip students with a broad view of the world, good communication skills, a strong foundation in theoretical fundamentals, and specialized skills in Building Electrical and Intelligence. Students will learn about Smart Building and Internet+ and new developments in the field. They will graduate ready to work as an innovative and practical engineer with a solid understanding of engineering and innovation in an international context. Graduates will be able to pursue careers in design, installation, maintenance, management, technological development and scientific research in the field of Building Electrical and Intelligence and other relevant industries.

 

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) at UniSA

BACKGROUND

Computer Science and Technology at XAUAT is a National Star Specialty. The School has a series of modern laboratories, research institutes, a computer center, and an Information Technology Experimental Center, and has fostered cooperative relationships with many hi-tech enterprises. The Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) at the University of South Australia has been professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society. The School has some of the most advanced tools in the field, and strong links with industry, including companies like Fujitsu, SA Water, and Uniting Care Wesley Adelaide.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This degree will give students specialized knowledge in the construction and management of the smart cities of the future. Students will study a mix of theory and practice-based computer science and technology courses and learn how to use the latest technologies in computer software, hardware systems and applications. The degree offers a strong foundation in computer systems, an introduction to applications, and sound knowledge of scientific literacy and innovation.  Graduates will be able to pursue careers in the research of computer software and hardware, and the analysis, design, integration and management of computer application systems.
